We’ve all been there and hit that wall where we simply have no decent energy left to do anything productive. How can you counteract a lack of energy and power on further?
Here are some tips and ideas that Izabela and I use to keep productive when working from home all day:
Listening to Music
Music is an easy quick fix to pick up energy. Here are some of our favourite Spotify playlists and Spotify radio stations to stay inspired:
Late Night Jazz
Take a Long Walk
It can really help you to collect your thoughts if you take a long and peaceful walk. This is especially good if you sit in front of a computer all day! Try and get some fresh sea air.
This is such an easy fix to make but often ignored! Keep your energy levels up by hydrating (not with coffee, tea or alcohol); plain and simple water is the best. Consider purchasing a water flask and keep it on your desk.
Using Bright Lights
Some of us suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), so counter those long cold months with bright lights in your room, and even get a dedicated SAD light for your workspace.
Diet can make all the difference, so don’t eat fast food and white, processed food all the time. Consider a change of lifestyle you can stick to instead of a fad diet. We became vegetarian and feel better for it.
As we mentioned in a previous episode (http://isleofwightlifestyle.com/3), getting your steps in daily is essential. Get a gadget (perhaps the new Apple Watch) and set achievable fitness goals.
Find a Purpose
This is a deep one. What’s your why?
